The media group supports Transition Cambridge in media outreach activities e.g. writing blog posts, press releases and articles. The group promotes Transition events and ideas with the aim of expanding the Transition community. We may be able to send someone to Transition Events as a photographer or reporter on request, contact Oscar

The media group is looking for people interested in social media, blogging, journalism, marketing, film-making, creative writing, and design.

The core members of the group are:

I'm Oscar, I'm a Buddhist who is trying to transition to a low-carbon and sustainable lifestyle. I'm interested in stories, not just the old stories but the new stories we're telling ourselves about what our lives will look like, where growth and progress are taking us. I'd like climate change and what to do about it to be on the agenda, an everyday conversation and a basis for people to find their common interests. What prevents us from seeing the world clearly, and how can communication help to make us more aware?

I'm Kate Honey. My interests are composing music, creative writing, blogging and film & video. I'm currently exploring the arts as a means of building community and awakening a creative response to environmental issues. I'm posting my musings about this exploration on the Transition Media blog (Climate Change and the Arts). I'm a massive fan of George Monbiot.

Picture and bio of Toni to follow.
