To become a member, all you need to do is get involved. There is no membership fee, though financial support is always welcome. We do keep a membership register, which is updated at least annually. This is because, as a member, you are entitled to vote in our Annual General Meeting. The only membership requirements are that you:

  • live, work or study in Cambridge or otherwise participate in Cambridge communities; and
  • participate in Transition group meetings or give other forms of voluntary support.

If you would like to become a member, the first thing you need to do is get involved in one of our groups or projects (see ‘Overview of current groups and projects’) or come along to one of our events. We’ll let you know when our Annual General Meeting is and make sure that you are registered if you’d like to be. You can also email us here to let us know that you are interested in membership.

Our Mission

Transition Cambridge aims to help Cambridge make the transition to ways of life that are more resilient in the face of rising energy prices and a changing climate.
