Wednesday 23rd October: Climate Justice: Gender, Poverty and Climate Change in Cambridge and Beyond

The Waterman (The Potting Shed in the back of the pub), 32 Chesterton Road, Cambridge, CB4 3AX 19:00-21:00 add to google calendar
Climate justice is a term used for framing global warming as an ethical and political issue, rather than one that is purely environmental or physical in nature. A fundamental proposition of climate justice is that those who are least responsible for climate change suffer its gravest consequences. This cafe explores how climate change, poverty and gender inequality relate. It will highlight how understanding this interrelatedness may be key to effectively navigating towards a more sustainable future. Two expert speakers will describe the relevance of climate justice locally and internationally. Find out more here.

Transition Cafe is a monthly event series about all the things we're passionate about to build a great community in our city. The bar will be open before and after the event, and you're invited to stay on afterwards to meet like-minded people, network, explore new ideas, and get to know others involved with Transition Cambridge.
