The films will be followed by a question and answer session with local transitioners Anna McIvor and Liz Serocold. Normal picturehouse charges apply (£8.50 full price, £7.50 concessions, £6.50 members). More info.

The Transition movement: Today Totnes... tomorrow the world

Here's a recent news article about Transition from the Independent (2 October).

Apples: tasty recipes needed!

The apple season is in full swing - yum!! It's been a brilliant year for apples, and we're lucky that they're so plentiful. Apples are amazingly versatile too - there are lots of ways to cook and use apples.

Do you have a recipe for tasty apples? A cake, a crumble, a pie - or something a bit more unusual?

The food group is preparing for the Mill Road Winter Fair in December, and apples will be a big feature of our stall! We're collecting recipes for a booklet which we'll give to people..so if you have a lovely recipe you'd like to share, please send it to Liz.

Community News

Assistance with the Launch of the film 'Dance of Light'

The 'Dance of Light' film has been produced with a small donation and voluntary work as a donation to non profit Wildlife Trusts for educational purposes and fund raising. The film is of unusual light effects created to nature sounds from the British Library Nature Sound Archive and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Brendan Lancaster, from the BBC in Bristol said of the film: "Stunning - absolutely perfect!" We are looking for a person, who would be willing to assist with preparing the premier of the film and the delivery of the film to non profit Wild Life Trusts. Such a person would need to have some experience as a PR assistant, and be willing to work on a largely voluntary basis. £1000.00 still remain from the original donation for this purpose. For further information please contact Rhea Quien or call her on 01223 360055.
