The story of a village in Transition, this appealing film follows the village of Ungersheim, a former potassium mining hub, as, under the leadership of Mayor Jean-Claude Mensch, it moves toward a sustainable, thriving and co-operative local economy - complete with horse drawn local transport. "In its gentle, slow, delightful way, this film unpicks and undermines the idea that There Is No Alternative, showing that actually there very much is." TransitionNetwork.org.
Join us after the film for refreshments, conversation and discussion -a chance to share your thoughts about the film and pool ideas and opportunities for making a difference.
Entry is free, with a suggested donation of £3 per person
Hosted by the Michaelhouse/Great Saint Mary's Diocesan Environmental Group and Transition Cambridge
