We are very excited to announce we have secured a copy of Just Eat It! This is a 74-minute documentary film following filmmakers and food lovers, Jen and Grant who, after catching a glimpse of the amount of food that is thrown away each year in the North America, pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away. On their journey they explore food waste in farms, retail and the home featuring interviews with TED lecturer, author and activist Tristram Stuart and acclaimed author Jonathan Bloom. Just Eat It explores our systemic obsession with expiry dates, perfect appearance and portion sizes and the effect that this is having around the globe.
Following the film we will show several shorts from local organisations working to reduce food waste in Cambridge including the Community Fridge, Foodcycle, FeedBack and Fareshare.
Free, booking advised - Eventbrite.
