We are a well-established community garden run on ecologically sound, organic principles. The garden allows gardening experiences for all ages and abilities and is a space where people can also relax, play, and socialise. There are a variety of types of garden beds and techniques being used. Our core ethos is that of permaculture: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Shares. We aim to learn, teach, experiment, and grow together.
We are at the end of Empty Common Allotments, which are accessed via a gate on the corner of Brooklands Ave and Trumpington Road, which is close to the Cambridge Botanic Gardens. You can see a map here.
There is generally a group of us in the garden on Sunday mornings from 10.30 am to 12.30 or later, and people are also coming and going during the week - you don't even have to garden just come and enjoy the space!
