Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th Sep: Wind Turbine Making Workshop
The course will run from the morning of Friday 3rd Sept to the evening of Sunday 5th Sept, full details here. During the course we will jointly make a 12V / 200W Hugh Piggott Axial Flux turbine with a 1.2m blade diameter (full info), guided by the folk from V3Power and Cambridge Greentech. By the end of the course, everyone will have had a chance to work on all aspects of making a wind turbine, including woodwork, metalwork and electrics. The cost will be £150 (bookings before 22 August) and £180 (bookings after then). All food will be included, and if you need accommodation, let us know and we will try to help. Book on-line here.

Wednesday 8th Sep 18:30: Food group meeting
The next fortnightly food group meeting will be Wednesday 8th Sep 6.30-8.30pm at the Corner House pub on Newmarket Road.
The Corner House offers us a great room all to ourselves, and has good food with lots of veggie and gluten free options. Come along and meet some food focussed folk!

Monday 20th Sep 20:00: Energy Group Meeting
8pm. This meeting will be hosted once again by Judith Rattenbury: contact Nicola for details of her address which is off Milton Road. This will be the last meeting before the Cherry Hinton Church Energy in the Home event on 28th Sep so we need to finalise plans for that. Also
we will hopefully be going over new FAQs for heat pumps, solar thermal energy and wood burning stoves.

Visit to Pipewell Woods, an ancient woodland where the people who manage the woodland will give us a tour.
